How to Type in Traditional Chinese Using Hanyu Pinyin

1. Click on “Start” and then click on “Control Panels”
2. Double-click on “Regional and Language Options”
3. Click on the “Languages” tab
4. Click on “Details…”
5. Click on “Add…”
6. Configure your settings to match the image above
7. Click on “OK”
8. Click on “Apply” and then click on “OK”
9. Press Ctrl-Space to toggle input language to “Chinese (Taiwan)”
10. Right-click on “CH” and then click on “Restore the Language Bar”
11. Click on “Tools” and then click on “Properties”
12. Click on the “Keyboard Mapping” tab
13. Select “HanYu Pinyin” and then click on “OK”

Hi! I’ve managed to type Chinese following your instructions but I can’t select the correct character.
For example, I want 诚品 in Traditional Chinese. However, I can only get 成品 and I am unable to change the words.

I’ve followed all instructions above, but I don’t get a drop-down list when I type in the hanyupinyin. Like, I can’t select the correct word from the pinyin I type.

if you do not want to set-up hanyu pinyin editing on your computer, you can also use a webbased solution like http://www.typehanyupinyin.com
it lets you enter hanyu pinyin characters quite easily.
